About Me

Hi, my name is Kyle Klyrth R. Gemilga and I live in Lac Le Jeune. I will be starting my practicum 1 on November 8 in Bumble and Bean. I decided to be an early childhood educator because I have always wanted to do a profession that involves children. I have adored children ever since I was a kid and I used to take care of my relatives and my siblings when my parents were away for work. However, I didn’t know what career to pursue that would allow me to work with children until this program was introduced to me. After much consideration and research, I decided that becoming an early childhood educator would be the perfect fit. As a teacher, I would get to see children every day and help them learn and develop. I could nurture their curiosity about the world and help instill in them a love of learning. Being in the classroom environment and watching “the lightbulb moments” when a child understands a new concept is extremely rewarding.

My hobbies are dancing, badminton, and I like to do self-care. Badminton and dancing are something that I have been doing since I was 11 year old. I love dancing with my sister. We do a lot of TikTok trend dances and try to be as silly as possible. We always have a great time dancing together and it’s a fun way for us to bond. Dancing allows us to express ourselves creatively and reduce stress at the same time. We usually put on fun music and just let loose. No matter what type of dance we do, whether it’s choreographed or made up on the spot, it always leaves us in a good mood with smiles on our faces. Self-care is also important to me as it helps me recharge mentally and physically. Some activities I enjoy that promote self-care include yoga, journaling, taking a long bath, and doing skin care. Taking time for self-care ensures I am the best version of myself. I am excited and nervous to start this journey but I am always eager to take this opportunity and learn more. I think this will be a great experience for me to grow both professionally and personally. There will certainly be challenges along the way but I’m ready to put in the work needed to succeed. I’m grateful to have this chance to further my skills and knowledge. I’m prepared to make the most out of it.
